Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease, and Dyslipidemia

Hypertension or High Blood Pressure means there is too much pressure in your blood vessels. This can damage your blood vessels and cause health problems. Anyone can develop hypertension, but it becomes more common as you get older. If your blood pressure is not controlled, you have an increased health risks. Risks of stroke, heart attack, heart failure, dementia, kidney disease, eye problems, and erectile dysfunction. Hypertension or High Blood pressure is a common condition, but many do not know if they have high blood pressure.

Coronary Artery Disease is the most common type of heart disease. This disease happens when the arteries that supply blood to heart muscle becomes hardened and narrowed. This can lead you to chest pain (angina) or a heart attack.

Dyslipidemia is abnormal amount of cholesterol or triglycerides or both in the blood. This is often due to diet and lifestyle as well as genetic. After diagnosis, treatment involves making changes in diet and lifestyle as well as lipid-lowering drugs.
